Hello, I am Annie and this is my Hygge & Cwtch blog created in Wales and inspired by the Danish hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) way of life. I believe a lot of goodness flows from choosing to live in the moment and take things simple and slow. We all need a bit of time and space to relax, take comfort and enjoy the good things in life with good people. I believe connecting with nature's beauty and nurturing power and indulging in moments of everyday joy is a true tonic.
There’s nothing quite like the final two months of the year. Wrapping up against the cold air. Wet welly walks. Christmas shopping. Festive celebrations. School plays. Muddy football matches. An abundance of reasons to go out and connect with people and with nature. But with that, comes an unrivalled yearning for a warm, cosy sanctuary. […]
One of our key values here at Hygge and Cwtch, and one that we strive to achieve in every single project we work on, is putting connection at the heart of everything. Connection to nature. Connection to ourselves. And connection with others. It’s essential to our wellbeing at home yet is something that we can […]
Back in June we shared Part One of our Greenfield Project house tour. And now, as we take some time during the summer to rest and reflect on the first half of the year, it felt like a good time to complete the tour. We’ve already had a walk through the stunning open plan kitchen-dining […]

The Danish philosophy of ‘hygge’ is integral to our brand. Hygge and Cwtch – a Welsh term for ‘cuddle’ – really sums up the feeling that we strive to achieve for all of our Interior Design clients. A simple sense of calming, cosiness and contentment. A feeling that we want our blog readers to achieve […]
