This is an Advertising Feature, we were kindly gifted this item in return for a review but all thoughts and words are our own.

At Hygge & Cwtch, we often talk about how our surroundings can nurture us. From the way light falls into a room, to the textures we wrap around ourselves at the end of the day. But sometimes it’s the less visible choices – such as what you sleep on every night – that have the biggest impact on your wellbeing. Which is why we gratefully accepted the Simba Hybrid Mattress to trial at home.

After trialling the Simba Hybrid mattress for a short time, I’m genuinely surprised by just how much I’ve enjoyed it. Anyone who knows me, knows I love my sleep! There is nothing better than snuggling in after a long day and enjoying a good long rest overnight. All the more important now the clocks have gone back and we are well and truly in hygge season.

First Impressions

This mattress strikes a beautiful balance between comfort and support. It leans on the firmer side, but in no way like a ‘sleeping on a plank.’ Instead, the plush top layer welcomes you in with softness and gentle contouring. The deeper layers hold you in place with steady reassurance. It’s the best of both worlds: that feeling of being cocooned, yet supported.

Everyday Rituals

It’s not just about sleep either. We also find that a comfortable bed is the perfect place to slow down with a book. So whether part of winding down in the evening or stealing a quiet moment in the morning before the day begins, lying on the Simba Hybrid felt like we were being softly cradled. There’s a sense of grounded comfort that makes it so much easier to exhale and simply be.

Great for Back Sleepers

If you’re a back sleeper, I think you’ll especially appreciate it. The Simba Hybrid seems to align the spine and hips beautifully, keeping everything secure and relaxed. It’s the kind of support that allows the body to truly rest, so you wake feeling refreshed.

Thoughtful Credentials

Beyond comfort, we’ve also been impressed by Simba’s values which very much reflect our own. They recently became the first UK mattress brand to achieve B Corp status — a recognition of their commitment to balancing profit with people and the planet. For us, that adds an extra layer of reassurance that this is a brand not only making sleep better, but also striving to do business in a more responsible way.

An Honest Note on Trialling

Experts estimate it can take around 30 nights for your body to fully adjust to a new mattress. These are our thoughts after just three nights — but rest assured, Simba understands that finding the right fit takes time. That’s why every customer is offered a 200-night trial with free returns if the mattress isn’t quite right. That peace of mind makes the investment feel even more worthwhile.

Our Verdict

We have happily enjoyed our existing mattress for a number of years, so we were intrigued to try Simba’s Hybrid. Despite it attracting many positive reviews and awards, I wasn’t expecting to be quite this impressed by a mattress. But here we are. The Simba Hybrid has won me over! Not just as a practical purchase, but as an important addition to creating a home that feels restful, nurturing and balanced.

Because at the end of the day, calm living isn’t just about how your home looks — it’s about how it feels. And for me, the Simba Hybrid is helping create a space where rest, comfort and a touch of everyday hygge naturally come together.
